Ponderings – “Winds of Change”

What seems to happen so often (to me at least) is that whenever a change is suddenly desired- a change in health, relationships, perspective- everything feels… different. Like there’s an aura of ambition and drive, of revolution and invigoration which uplifts us and consequently the world around us. “The Winds of Change” as I like to call it (yes, I’m aware that I’m not the first to coin the phrase).

These winds are great, a welcome sign that change is in the air. But sometimes they blow a little too hard. Ok, I get it. I asked for change, now you’re giving it to me. But not at a hundred miles an hour from every different direction! Change is supposed to be a gradual process, not a sudden, raging tornado! One step at a time please.

Ponderings – Sailing In A Circle

Look, I’m all for being passionate, for working hard, being ambitious. But I’m also a big believer in having a plan. Having a dream is one thing. Knowing exactly what you want, and how you’re going to get it- that is how success is attained.

You can have as much wind behind your sails as you want, but if you don’t bring a compass, you’ll be sailing in a circle on open waters your whole life with no land in sight.
