One thing I’ve always found challenging is maintaining my motivation. Motivation is great for getting us started, but eventually it wears off, and so does our enthusiasm with it. It provides us with that “high” which takes us to the top of the world, but once we sleep it off, once we realize that we’re only on the first step of 100 floors to go, what do we tell ourselves, what do we ask ourselves, that will keep us climbing?
What’s your why? It’s your why that will remind you why you get up at six in the morning, why you always have something on your mind, why you can’t seem to focus when others are talking to you. Motivation will get you out the door and onto the first step, but your why will keep you climbing.
